When I went to edit the Spoiler Policy post (since, lol, that re-release never went anywhere) I accidentally wound up deleting it. Ah, whoops.

Community members, do you all think we still need a spoiler policy?

I think it should just be declared an area that will, inevitably, contain spoilers. Because the re-print tanked and the series itself has been out of publication well over ten years other than that.

It's not exactly on the same level as expecting spoiler warnings on Public Domain material, but it's... well, I think we're above and beyond the point where people should expect not to have spoilers on fandom communities.

Like, if you can't buy the book in stores anymore, you should expect people have already well-geeked-out-about it.

Yeah, I was basically thinking the same thing. Alas, if only the re-print had actually succeeded... What I wouldn't give for an Animorphs fandom where spoiler warnings were actually necessary!

I only discovered this a few months ago, but, many of the books are finally available on Kindle. So a person can binge-read it now and the whole idea that new readers might be waiting for a book is sort of moot.

It doesn't matter. Most of DreamWidth's communities have had a hella difficult time trying to take off. Most people here are primarily personal-account bloggers (myself included.)

I haven't needed spoiler warnings since two weeks ago. Finally managed to get hold of copies of the last few books - so I'm no longer unable to participate in the 70% of fandom which is about book 54 and aftermath.

I read bits of the series more or less in order ten years ago, but the library never had them all available. I'm in favour of having a policy of marking spoilers.
